In the Médoc, Château Lagrange is one of Saint-Julien's iconic references. The property has very ancient origins, since the "Villa Rustica" was built here in Gallo-Roman times. It was then the Templar Order that initiated the winegrowing activity of the property. Château Lagrange experienced a golden age in the 18th century and was awarded the title of 3rd Cru Classé in the Official Classification of 1855. In 1983, Château Lagrange became part of the Japanese group Suntory and its president Keizo Saji. After a major renovation and investment programme, combined with the arrival of a dynamic team, Château Lagrange has reached the top of the Saint-Julien appellation.
