Givry 1er Cru “En Choué” always displays a ruby red colour. On the nose, it develops aromas of fresh red stone fruits (notes of cherry and Morello cherry), supported by raspberry flesh. On the palate, it is ample and refined, elegant and well-structured. Historical writings recount tasting notes comparing it, for some, to Volnay and, for others, to Clos Vougeot when referring to Clos de Choué.
Pairs very well with white meats, light marinades, and firm-fleshed fish prepared in sauce (monkfish, sea bass), as well as aged cheeses.
