A bold and brooding imperial stout aged in alder wood smoked whisky barrels.
The initial aroma is lightly smoky, plummy, and reminiscent of port. The scent is unusually fruity for a dark beer—dominated by plum, with hints of raisins and vanilla notes from oak barrels. Upon further exploration, you can detect various spices and dried fruits.
Very full-bodied and powerful. The initial alder smoke flavor is balanced by sweet chocolate, nuts, and dark toffee.
