Today, the Château du Glana vineyard comprises 59 hectares of vines almost in a single block, in the prestigious Saint-Julien appellation d'origine contrôlée, which today includes 90% of Grands Crus Classés. The vines, whose average age is around 25 years, are planted on Garonne gravel terroirs at a density of 7,000 vines per hectare. Cabernet Sauvignon (65%), a typical Médoc grape variety providing structure and ageing potential, dominates over Merlot (35%) offering roundness and fleshiness.
