Deep, dense colour with bluish highlights. The first nose is intense; it evokes candied black fruit, blackcurrant jam, cocoa and sloe. On aeration, the aromatic palette of LA SERGUE 2015 is enriched by touches of Havana, liquorice and white pepper on a background of baked plum. The tannin is generous, very present without being opulent. It melts quickly in the mouth, without aggressiveness, like velvet. The palate develops generously, without fatigue, with a nice freshness and a return to spicy black fruit on the finish. A wine that is both serious and charming. As usual, it will require some bottle ageing to reach its full potential, but at the same time the 2015 is a great vintage that is particularly accessible in its youth thanks to its perfectly balanced power.
