Chartreuse Liqueur d'Elixir
Very quickly, the need to make this powerful remedy with an exceptional bouquet a digestive drink that was particularly pleasant to taste became obvious. The first liqueur, ancestor of the Chartreuse Verte, had seen the light of day. It is this very first liquor that the Carthusians are reviving today, naming it "Liqueur d'Elixir", in order to commemorate the delivery of the manuscript to the Carthusian monks of Vauvert 400 years ago.
