Chartreuse VEP Jaune

It is made with the same plants as Green Chartreuse, but in different proportions, it offers scents of flowers, honey and spices. 130 plants are essential to produce Chartreuse liqueurs: they are listed in the manuscript that Marshal d'Estrées gave to the Carthusian Fathers in 1605. Only two Carthusian Brothers know the names of the plants and know how to mix and distil them. They are also the only ones who know which plants to use to give the natural green and yellow colors. They are the ones who control the slow aging of the liqueur and decide when the liqueur is ready to be bottled.
