Pairings and dishes

Grilled meat, poultry or game, stewed game, beef or lamb, sweet desserts and cheese

Nose

The bouquet is full of esters and fruitiness. Dominant notes of ripe banana.

Taste

Fruity yet slightly bitter taste, with a long, dry finish.

Remarks

For a nice clear beer, store the bottles upright in a dark place between 8 and 14°C. Pour slowly and carefully and leave around 1 cm of beer in the bottle. That is the yeast sediment. You can serve that separately. This beer is best savoured when served in its original Westmalle-made long-stemmed glass.

Aspect

This beer has a dark, reddish-brown colour with a full, pale yellow head.
