The Clos de l'Oratoire, located on the northeast slope of Saint-Emilion, covers an area of some 13 hectares. Its Fronsac molasse terroir, composed of a sandy subsoil and a clay subsoil, is particularly suited to Merlot, which accounts for 80% of the vineyard. A meticulous work is carried out throughout the seasons, in order to preserve all the qualities of this vineyard. The vinification is carried out only in thermoregulated wooden vats. A noble, living material, wood is in perfect osmosis with the wine, offering it the possibility to develop its full potential in color and flavor. Each vat is treated according to its characteristics, on the basis of low temperatures, with a very slow punching of the cap... all this in constant respect of the raw material.
