After a subtle and gentle beginning, the Strisselspalt hops from Alsace/France burst with all their power and taste. Characterised by its nice distinct maltiness, this Trappist beer offers a harmonious finish to the palate.

Remarks

In 1953 Father Benno Stumpf was elected Abbot of St.Engelszell. Thanks to him the monastery decided to use mural paintings to decorate the empty space under the ceiling of the Monastery Church with the “9 choirs of angels”, a representative fresco of the 20th century.

Aspect

Its intense red shimmer recalls the beautiful sunny autumn days in the Danube valley.
